What To Bring To All Photography Classes & Workshops (unless otherwise stated)

  • Your Camera and one lens if applicable.
  • Fully charged Batteries, and ideally a spare set if they don’t last terribly long
  • A memory card, ideally empty, but if not be sure there is room for at least 200 pictures
  • Camera manual, (if possible,) this is a big help. Most camera stores sell replacements fairly cheaply. Some manufactures make them available on their website
  • Note taking supplies

The Art and Design of Photography Class

You do not need to bring your camera and associated equipment to “The Art and Design of Photography Class“.

All Lighting Workshops

  • Everything listed under “What To Bring To All Photography Classes & Workshops”
  • Tripod (only needed for Portrait Lighting)

Accessory Flash Workshop

  • Everything listed under “What To Bring To All Photography Classes & Workshops” and “All Lighting Workshops”
  • One Accessory Flash (also called a Speedlight or Flash Gun)
  • Fully charged batteries for the flash, and ideally a second set
  • The manual for the accessory flash if possible

All Software Classes

  • Your camera and tethering cords OR Memory Card and reader is needed for an import exercise on the first class. After that, you don’t need it anymore.
  • A portable computer. Laptops, notebooks, and portable iMac style computers are allowed. Due to work space considerations desktop style computers with separate monitors and towers require advanced authorization from our office.
  • All cables, a keyboard, mouse, and any other desired accessories
  • A suitable extension cord for your equipment. If your equipment requires a 3-prong plug be sure to bring a 3-prong cord.
  • The software the course covers installed and updated. If you are using a demo version of the software be sure that it doesn’t expire before the last day of class. For example, if you are taking a 6 week class, and the demos is 30 days, it will expire before the class is over. You will not be eligible for a refund due to a expired software.
  • Your computer must be in good operating condition and meet all the System Requirements as published by the developer for the software.

Using Adobe Photoshop

  • Everything listed under “All Software Classes”
  • Current Version of Adobe Photoshop CC or CS or Elements installed on your computer.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC

  • Everything listed under “All Software Classes”
  • Current version of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom installed on your computer
