Posing Guide

What’s Covered?

Unlike a traditional class, we’re not running this session with a manual, we’re taking our cues from you. So, if you have questions about wardrobe, posing different body types, how to keep a shoot fun… anything, we’ll be in touch with you the days leading up to the workshop and you can tell us your wishlist and we’ll do our best to make it happen for you!

We’ll meet you on location, with models, and you’ll have the opportunity to replicate poses given by the instructor, receive feedback on some of your own poses and learn a variety of tips for dealing with common portrait challenges.

The instructor will run this workshop similar to an engagement shoot so you’ll be able to see from start to finish how to shoot a variety of photos that will be sure to please your family or future clients. If you’re looking to learn how to shoot individual portraits, check out our Portraiture Workshop.

This workshop will be similar to our Photo Walks in structure- we’ll send out information on timing and a meeting place a few days before the event. For this workshop, ALL registrants must have taken Using Your DSLR Camera.

“Excellent Instructor that gives the student time to set up their own shots while offering constructive feedback. Class moves along at a nice pace. I have participated in other work shops where the instructor is only concerned with getting the shot for his own portfolio. With CPLC that was not the case. I will register for more courses with them.” — Rod King (5 Star Google Review!)
