Do you want to take family photographs that get noticed and capture the emotion and energy of your subjects? Great family photography is more than just taking a family to a great location or studio and waiting for them to do something memorable while they play together. Professional family photography requires a lot of forethought, planning, and a certain skill set. This class will take students through setting up backgrounds, using props and posing subjects.

Although this professional level photography class is geared towards professionals looking to improve their skills it is also suitable for serious enthusiasts who want to take professional level photographs of their loved ones.

We will also cover overcoming obstacles while photographing including weather, equipment failure, harsh outdoor lighting, clothing issues, time constraints and more. Students will learn to control the group, and create levels and pleasing shapes. Lighting for family photographs will also be discussed. Students will learn how to develop their portfolio and marketing pieces to sell family photographs to their clients.
