picThis course is an exhaustive practical exploration of the functions on the accessory flashes of the major camera companies. As the built-in flash included with some SLR cameras is essentially useless if not harmful to your photography, accessory flashes are sold separately and mounted on the top of a digital SLR camera. These are complicated flashes with as many functions as your camera body, and through this course’s practical exercises, the functions of the accessory flash for your camera will be taught and applied. After two sections of this course take you through all of the functions of your accessory flash and how to apply them, the last section is devoted to practical exercises related to using your accessory flash in both indoor and outdoor situations to better your photography. Specifically, the benefits of using accessory flash in both settings are demonstrated, and the solutions for the pitfalls and complications they cause are also explored through theoretical teaching and immediate practical exercises.

When you have finished this course, you will be knowledgeable and experienced in all of the buttons and functions on your accessory flash, shooting in TTL mode, shooting in manual flash mode, how on-camera flash can hurt your images and what to do about it, and how on-camera flash can be used to improve your images and how to achieve these affects.
